Pride 25 Statement: Why Radical Inclusion Is Glitterazzi's Pride & Our Protest
“What is beautiful is not always good, but what is good is always beautiful.” — ALOK
Every speck of Glitterazzi Biodegradable Glitter carries a purpose beyond the sparkle. It says: you belong here. You — with your full self, your contradictions, your grief, your glitter, your uncontainable beauty — are worthy of joy, celebration, and community. That’s why we’re here.
We make glitter. But what we’re really want to be doing is building a world where no one is left out and everyone is invited to the party.
Radical Inclusion Is Not Optional. It’s Essential.
Too often, Pride is turned into a marketing campaign. A rainbow slapped onto a logo in June, and silence the rest of the year. But Pride began as a protest. A riot led by trans women of colour — Marsha P. Johnson, a Black trans activist who co-founded STAR (Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries), and Sylvia Rivera, a Latina trans activist and fierce advocate for unhoused queer youth. It’s always been a movement for those pushed to the margins. One for survival, for dignity, and for liberation.
Glitterazzi is here for that version of Pride.
We are not neutral. Neutrality sides with the oppressor and we choose solidarity, not silence. We are radically inclusive, because it’s better for the planet and its people when we drop the fear-based systems of patriarchy, religious dogma, and hierarchical exclusion. Glitter doesn’t care who you love, how you identify, what language you pray in, or how many times you’ve started over. And neither do we.
Our sparkle is more than symbolism. We show up — year-round — by donating glitter to LGBTQIA+ youth groups, funding drag competitions, supporting queer artists, and raising money for grassroots organisations doing the real work. We believe in joy and justice. In lifting people up. In backing inclusivity with action.
Because when we say “glitter is for everyone,” we mean it — in word, in deed, and in every beautiful human that gets covered in our biodegradable glitter goodness.
Glitter can be Sacred: Especially for the Marginalised
We especially hold space this Pride for our trans siblings — and with deepest reverence, our trans First Nations family. You navigate systems not made for you. You who carry both the power of ancestors and the pain of erasure. You who still choose to shine. We honour you.
We know that visibility alone doesn’t keep you safe. That love alone doesn’t pay the rent. But a kind word? A compliment? A public celebration of your brilliance? That can light up a nervous system dulled by daily survival. That can be the beginning of a constellation, of strangers turning into community bonded by love.
It costs nothing to say: “You are extraordinary.” But it gives everything.
So this month, we’re inviting everyone — daring you all — to go out of your way to affirm someone’s magic. Your trans friend. Your queer colleague. The teenager testing out new pronouns. The elder in the wheelchair at the drag story time. Uplift them. Be their mirror. Show them their brilliance, especially if they can't quite see it yet.

At Glitterazzi We Believe:
🌈 Glitter is for everyone — no exceptions. Because glitter, to us, is more than shimmer — it’s a symbol of safety, visibility, and freedom. When we say everyone deserves glitter, we mean everyone deserves to feel safe, celebrated, and seen.
🌿 The planet and its people thrive when we dismantle harmful systems not marginalised communities or their livelihoods.
💚 Trans rights. Indigenous rights. Queer rights. Disability rights. Environmental rights. Human rights. Every one of these is deeply intertwined — because none of us are free until all of us are. When we fight for one, we must fight for all. There is no justice in exclusion. There is no liberation in leaving anyone behind.
✨ Love is resistance — especially now, when love is being legislated against, when compassion is framed as weakness, and when the simple act of existing outside the binary is treated as a threat. To love loudly, queerly, defiantly is to rebel against a world that wants you silent.
💥 Joy is political — because in a world where queer lives are targeted, joy becomes defiance. When trans kids are banned from playing sport, when drag storytime is under attack, when simply existing can spark outrage, joy (and glitter) becomes a protest. A declaration: we are still here, we are still shining, and we will not be erased.
🌏 Glitter can heal the world — if we let it mean more than sparkle. When it stands for care, justice, and joyful rebellion, it becomes more than makeup — it becomes movement. A shimmer of solidarity. A particle of possibility. A reminder that small things, when shared with intention, can transform everything.
