PURE is for sparkle purists — those who want magic with zero compromise. Biodegrades in nature, even in rivers and lakes. 

Full transparency: it's kind to skin, the Earth, but not vegan due to shellac content. Shellac is a natural resin secreted by the lac bug, used here to create the shimmer in our iridescent glitters. It's a naturally derived ingredient, but because it involves an insect by-product, some vegans may choose to avoid it.

SPARKLE is your go-to for punchy, reflective glam. It’s not quite as squeaky-green as PURE or HOLO, but it’s miles ahead of conventional plastic glitter.

And best of all? It’s fully vegan — no shellac or animal by-products here.

Full transparency: while it doesn't yet carry the TÜV 'OK biodegradable WATER' certification, it achieved 87% biodegradation in independent freshwater testing and is just 3% away from meeting the full standard. Bioglitter® continues to improve the formulation toward that goal.

Glitterazzi glitters use Bioglitter® because they are:

✅ FDA compliant (US) and approved under EU Regulation 1223/2009

✅ Compliant with regulations in AU, NZ, CAN, JP, CN, KR

⚠️ Vegan status varies by product — SPARKLE is fully vegan; PURE and HOLO are vegetarian-friendly but not vegan due to shellac content. All are cruelty-free and non-toxic.

✅ Free from parabens, gluten, soy, nuts, and common allergens

All Bioglitter® PURE and SPARKLE glitters used by Glitterazzi meet cosmetic safety standards in multiple regions:

• Europe: Compliant with the European Cosmetic Regulation 1223/2009.

• USA: Compliant with FDA Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 21.

  • ✅ PURE is aluminium-free and approved for use on lips.

  • ⚠️ SPARKLE contains aluminium and is not approved for lip use.

• China: Compliant with the Safety and Technical Standards for Cosmetics (2015).

• Japan: Compliant with the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare Ordinance No. 126 of July 29, 2003. (QD/JSQI regulation not applicable)

• Australia: Compliant with the Industrial Chemicals (Notification & Assessment) Act 1998 and Cosmetic Standards 2007.

• Korea: Compliant with the Korean Cosmetic Products Act (KPCA), 2000.

❌ Many red D&C pigments are not permitted around the eyes

Glitters used near the eyes must be 150 microns or smaller (that’s size 006 or finer). All Glitterazzi Bioglitter® is precision cut to meet or exceed this safety threshold.*

👁️ GLITTER PARTICLE SIZE & EYE SAFETY

We only use precision-cut glitter particles, ensuring:

✅ Uniformity and control — unlike pigments (micas or pearlescents)

✅ Safe use around eyes when size is 006 or smaller

✅ No jagged edges or mixed particles

⚠️ ANTIMONY? NOT IN OUR BIOGLITTER.

Antimony is a heavy metal commonly found in traditional PET glitter (sometimes up to 150ppm). It’s a known irritant and environmental concern.

Glitterazzi Bioglitter® contains less than 0.5ppm antimony — a trace amount below detection limits.

Bioglitter® avoids antimony entirely in its production process. It’s one more reason we choose to sparkle differently.
