It might be still cold here in Melbourne Australia, but it is September and there have been a few days that have teased us with the beautiful weather ahead for… Australia’s FESTIVAL SEASON and we’re excited to share with you the latest festival makeup trends with you and even more excited to see our (the collective Australian festival goers) take on them over the next few months.

This is the most exciting overall makeup trend for 2018 - the fresh glow and natural foundation trend. And it’s about time. This year, Glitterazzi Glitter gives you permission to back off from a heavy foundation look at festivals (and every day), Instead, use a good sunscreen and a mineral powder and let the skin of your face be as free as those cheeks (yes we just said that).

This is so exciting for us and is one of the reasons we started our Biodegradable Glitter business in the first place. Festivals are the perfect place for getting your creative on and having wild and free fun with glitter. But there is no reason to use glitter that is not proven to be biodegradable and compostable, otherwise, it’s just like leaving your ciggy butts in the bush (did you know they’re plastic too!). Because, no matter how hard you try to keep your makeup in place for 17 hrs of dancing, we guarantee you’re going to end up losing a few sparkles here and there and that’s ok if it’s proven to biodegrade into harmless substances! If you’re not sure - ask for their credentials or check that they are a licensed distributor of eco-friendly glitter like us.

Body glitter is one of our favourite festival makeup gotos. It’s easy and can have such an awesome impact, especially on a guy (who might not be able or feel so comfortable to wear Face Glitter like our dear friend Leather Lungs as featured above). We just suggest you use a stronger glue such as an organic hair gel for your application base.
